Bands Bands Bands

So, today I'm finally going to be finishing the lithographs for my fave bands/singers/songwriters/pub dwellers in the area. Expect to see some stuff featuring my top faves: The Cave Singers, Blood Brothers (RIP), Pretty Girls (Andrea Z, Jay, D.Fudesko), The Trucks, The Redwood, Busch Gardens Karaoeke Extravaganza, Seattle Eagle, M-Residence, Xin Wang, Michael Engle, The Turn On's, Sarah Everstine, Mike Jankowski, (sorry but the Spencer Moody print turned to shit somehow), Prop 8 Rally and more and more to come each day.

It's hard for me not to be influenced by some people, places, things ( THE NOUNS???) but Seattle is home to my faves, homos and those alike. Too bad we can't get some of those awesome folks from Omaha (Todd Fink, Jacob Thiele, Joel, Dapose, Clark) to lay plots in these parts.

But, this next series is based on the influencs of the culture Seattle and the NW have on me. Go buy Invitation Songs by The Cave Singers, Crimes by BB and anything that says...The Turn On's, Pretty Girls, Neko Case, and they will tell you what the music meant.

Please take a moment to visit the blog again and give me any feedback you'd like.

Also, be aware. I've almost finished my songs for the album. No title yet. Still deciding on who I want to sing backup on 4 songs. But hope it will be ready by Xmas time. It'll be the best styles of Voodoo Folk Twang and Sang I can do. Honky Tonk Piano sounds, viola's, fun drum's, etc.

Thanks y'all.

PICS

Yo fools...just thought I'd send some links to the pictures I am showing in Portland at the moment as well as what's going up in my next show in Pioneer Square in January. I will soon have a series of shots I did at the Prop 8 rally from Seattle this past weekend. In the meantime, enjoy these photos from my current and upcoming shows.

Ed Luce Jess Wamre - San Francisco, July 2007
Everyone, this is my friend, Ed Luce. Ed is a local West Coast Artist who is one of the best cartoonists/artists I've had the pleasure of meeting. Ed is currently working on a quite successful project with a close friend. His friend is named The Wuvable Oaf. (http://www.wuvableoaf.com/) Ed and W. Oaf have become quite popular over the last year or so and I want you all to check them out. Ed is a good friend of mine from San Fran who took part in a project with me last July for another friend of ours, Sean M. Johnson, a Boston-based Photographer and head of the infamous "Beard Rubbing" Project. Please take a moment to check out there site and buy one of the shirts. Only the hippest folks have them.

Day 1

Sometimes it just feels good to put yourself out there and I think that this is the best way for me to do that on the "intaweb". I've been working on a website with a couple of people here in Seattle and I feel like the control I have with a BLOG is a hundred and eleven times better. I'm not looking for prestige I'm looking for feedback. Gimme all you got, I promise, I can take it.

The Neon Log Cabin is my approach to explaining what my vision is as an artist, musician and what my day-to-day life is like. Pay attention to all or nothing...either way, I'm glad you stopped by.

Disclaimer: I'm not responsible if you're offended by the shit I post on my blog. If you've got a problem, deal with it on your own.

Love,

Jess
